All of Our Horses

Dottie

Dottie is a 24 year old Hanoverian mare. She has been a trusty show horse as well as hunt horse for several years. She also has produced two wonderful Hanoverian foals for us. She loves the beach more than anything but also enjoys trail riding and jumping too!
Dextra

Dextra is a 13 year old Dutch Warmblood Cross mare mare that is Kathleen's personal horse. She is a phenomenal jumper that enjoys fox hunting as well eventing. She injured herself in 2012 and had a year off. She is due to have a foal with Rubinus any day now and we are  anxiuosly awaitng the arrival of our newest addition!
Splash

Splash is a one of a kind mare. She has spent many years in the show ring and is now passing on her knowledge to our lucky her beginner riders. She is perfect for anyone's first ride but will also happily gallop along the beach keeping up with the others. She is truly a saint!
Weltra

Weltra (Vellie) is a homebred Patch Wood  horse. She is a six year old Holsteiner/Dutch mare that also has an exceptional nature.  She is a talented dressage horse that is also going to be hard to beat in the jumper ring. She is starting her eventing career this year and  we have high hopes for her. She teaches some lessons and is also going to be availale  for lease.
Eatsi

Eatsi is one of our best lesson horses. She teach beginner through advanced level riders. She is  a student favorite at the horse shows and also on the trails. She loves to play polo, event and do beach rides.
Violet

Violet is our fast and fun jumper pony! She is spiritied but lots of fun to ride. She is a cross country machine and is will jump anything you point her at. She loves the trails, beach and jumping. She is also learning to like dressage! Violet has a great zest for life and we enjoy her pony antics here at the farm.
Teddy

Teddy is a farm favorite at Patch Wood and is also Rhea's personal favorite! He is the sweetest boy with a heart of gold. He loves to jump, swim (in the ocean and Mill Pond) and play polo. He is a great event horses and teacher for the students.

Our Resident Mascots

Salvador
 
Sal is the world's best donkey! He was saved from the slaughter in 2009 and is enjoying life at Patch Wood Farm. He is very docile and enjoys eating and sleeping in the paddock. He does love the occasional cuddle too!
 
Rooney, Riley,Oliver and Rocco
 
Rooney, Riley, Oliver and Rocco are the best goats in the world! They are our resident watch dogs and are also in charge of weed control and testing our fences on a daily basis. They come when called and enjoy treats and love most of all. They are always a hit in the local parade and state fair. Rocco is our newest addition to the family and was a surprise in January of 2012. Riley and Oliver are the proud parents of Rocco.
 
Radley (2004-2012)
Radley is our resident Rabbit. He loves seeing our students and basking in the sun. He enjoys treats and frequently comes out of his cage for hugs and kisses.
Alexander and Peter are our new  Flemish Giant Rabbits. We hope they can live up to the wonderful Radley who passed away this summer.
 
Our Irish Jacks!
